About this event

This learning is for you if you are running a small voluntary group in Edgbaston and would like to learn more about key policies for small community groups and their value.

This event is taking place at Quinborne Community Centre on Thursday 7 November from 10.30am to 2.30pm. 

This event is being run by Birmingham Community Matters (BCM) on behalf of Edgbaston Neighbourhood Network Scheme.

During this event we will explore:

  • Why we need policies and their importance
  • The difference between a policy and procedure
  • What to include in key policies and procedures
  • Processes for small groups to approve and refresh policies and procedures.
  • Key policies needed for funding applications including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, EDI and risk assessments.

How to register:

  • Register here on Ticket Tailor – we’ll ask you a few simple questions about your community group/project/idea so we know how to best support you on the day.
