BCM is a new charity, run mainly by volunteers, to support small and emerging community groups. We started in 2016, and we got our charity status last year.
When BCM’s pilot phase came to an end recently we didn’t know what the future would hold. Like so many organisations, we were relying on securing new funding to continue our work. We need a certain amount of money each year to bring people together across Birmingham, and to strengthen the services we offer.
Now we’re happy to say that we have been granted funding to continue for the next three years. We are holding a planning meeting on Monday to discuss our next steps and soon we hope to share new dates for surgeries and workshops across the city.
So we just wanted to thank everyone who has been instrumental in getting BCM through its infancy, and let you know that things are happening . . .
