Our funders

We want to thank the organisations that have given funding and resources to Birmingham Community Matters (BCM).

By supporting us they have, in turn, supported many community groups and projects across our city.

National Lottery Community Fund

We are delighted to have emerged from our pilot phase with funding from the National Lottery – Reaching Communities fund. This is enabling us to recruit two members of staff to develop and deliver our charity’s model.

Big Lottery Fund

Thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Fund (which is made possible through the UK National Lottery) we have been able to hold BCM surgeries across Birmingham.

Birmingham City Council's Local Innovation Fund

Administered by the Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit, the Local Innovation Fund has enabled us to hold BCM surgeries in Bournville.

Barrow Cadbury Trust

A grant from independent charitable foundation Barrow Cadbury Trust has enabled us to develop our peer-to-peer model, and commission experts from the Third Sector Research Centre at the University of Birmingham to carry out an evaluation of our approach.

Comic Relief Core Strength - Local Communities

An award secured through the Comic Relief Core Strength – Local Communities programme (administered by the Heart of England Community Foundation) is helping us to access the skills and knowledge we needed to spread the word about BCM.
